To develop a basis of perpetual financial support to ensure that our Library will always provide outstanding information, education and culture in a user-friendly, state-of-the-art facility.
The Mason City Public Library Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization led by an independent Board of Directors. The Foundation's goal is to support long-term growth of the Mason City Public Library and help meet needs in the areas of collections, technology, and large-scale facility and service enhancements.
The Foundation and its Board operate independently from the City of Mason City municipal services. The Foundation exists solely to enhance and expand services provided by the Library. Financial support from the City of Mason City, the State of Iowa, and other sources will continue and not be diminished by the existence of gifts generated by the Foundation.
The Foundation gratefully accepts all donations to help fill the gap between municipal tax dollars and the actual costs of providing first class public library services in Mason City. Foundation support will assist the Library to keep pace with growing use and evolve to meet these upcoming challenges:
